Tomas Uhliarik is a Slovak filmmaker, director, producer, and actor known for his contributions to Slovak cinema, television, and theatre. He is the founder of uEnvision Studio Ltd., a Bratislava-based production company focused on narrative storytelling and creative video projects.
Uhliarik began his film career in the United States, where he studied experimental cinema at the State University of New York at Binghamton. While there, he directed the short films Doors and FrankieMan (2012), which earned early recognition at the Segments: The Orange County Short Film Fest. In 2013, he gained on-set experience as a location scout for the Orange County NY Film Office and contributed to multiple independent feature films in the Hudson Valley region.
After returning to Slovakia, Uhliarik worked extensively in local film, TV, and theatre. In 2018, he established uEnvision Studio Ltd., collaborating with students, local organizations, and professionals on a range of projects from independent shorts to commercial productions. Since 2022, he has also served as a filmmaking lecturer at SPSE Hálova, mentoring young creators.
As an actor, Uhliarik has appeared in Slovak and American productions including Falling Daniel (2024), Approaching the Unknown (2016), and King Cobra (2016). At theatre, he has taken on major roles in The Bacchae (2019), The Emperor's New Clothes (2023), and Murder on the Orient Express (2025).
