Joao Vinhas

Joao Vinhas is a Brussels-based film producer and audiovisual entrepreneur. Active in the independent film sector, he develops and supports a wide range of projects, from feature films and short films to television series and music videos. In 2016, he co-founded Octopods Films in Belgium with Simon Heymans and Benjamin Honoré, marking a new stage in his career as a producer and strengthening his commitment to the creation and development of audiovisual projects. Driven by the desire to diversify his activities and strengthen his presence across the entire film value chain, he co-founded Case Départ Distribution with Camille Doyen and Benjamin Honoré in September 2023, a company dedicated to film distribution across the Benelux. In 2026, Joao Vinhas and Benjamin Honoré further expand their international activities by acquiring a stake in Anderandera Productions, a French production company. This new step consolidates their position as audiovisual entrepreneurs and reflects their ambition to develop collaborations and projects beyond Belgium’s borders. Through his various activities, Joao Vinhas is building a career at the crossroads of film production, distribution, and audiovisual entrepreneurship, with the ambition of contributing to the development, production, and distribution of independent film projects in Belgium, the Benelux, and internationally.
