Maria Zak is a Ukrainian-Canadian actress and writer. She spent her early years in Ukraine, Russia, and Uzbekistan. Maria began her acting career at the age of four, performing in acclaimed Moscow theater productions such as Gambrinus and Red Flower.
Maria's life and career have taken her across the globe. Her film debut in Israeli cinema was The Third Traffic Light. She spent much of her life in South Africa, where she pursued dance, acting, and modeling. In 2003, she moved to Canada, where she continued her acting training at the Montreal School of Performing Arts. While primarily a theater actress, Maria has also taken on various roles in film, both in front of and behind the camera.
In 2010, Maria co-founded Pandora's Tribe Dance Troupe, a group dedicated to promoting dance as an art form. She has also been involved in projects that use dance for community engagement and creative expression.
Today, Maria continues to work in the arts, creating documentaries and writing books, primarily for young children.
