Biography

Born in Bergamo, 16.08.1980. Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Master's Degree in Television and Cinema, Documentary Theories and Techniques post graduated course and several Film Production masterclasses. In the early years I worked as a filmmaker, film festival juror, publicist for movie magazines. Between 2007-2010 I worked as co-artistic director of the international Cortopotere ShortFilmFestival, dealing with fund raising, communication and selection of documentaries. Co-founded Oki Doki Film - an independent film company - in 2011 and Oki Doki Rent - a film rental service - in 2017. Agici, Doc.it and WiTFM member.

Producer with extensive experience in the development and production of documentaries, I have built my career around stories with strong social and biographical resonance. I am co-founder of Oki Doki Film, an independent production company dedicated to documentaries, feature films, and branded content, and of Oki Doki Rent, a service company specialized in technical equipment rental for film, TV, and advertising. Among my most recent works: What We Fight For (2024), an independent documentary co-produced with Nieminen Film, which gives voice to women forced into exile from Afghanistan and Iran; and Atalanta. Una vita da Dea (2025), a feature documentary distributed internationally by RaiCom and theatrically by Nexo Studios, offering an unprecedented insight into the rise of the Bergamo football club from local symbol to European triumph. Over the years, Erika I have also overseen projects developed within international co-production frameworks, collaborating with European and American partners, and has worked across both creative and managerial aspects of production - from development and financing to festival strategy and distribution. My background includes experience as an artistic director of a film festival, where I honed my curatorial eye and passion for documentary cinema. I continue to focus on projects that explore identity, social change, and contemporary issues, with the conviction that cinema can be both a mirror of reality and a tool for transformation.
