Biography

Jim Redman was born on November 8, 1931 in London, England, UK.

He was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1964 Queen's Honours List for his services to motor racing.

Champion: 350cc (1962, 1963, 1964, 1965) and 250cc (1962, 1963).

In 1962, Jim Redman became the first champion with a Honda motorcycle in the World Motorcycle Championship in the 350cc class.

At the 1966 500cc German Grand Prix, Jim Redman became the first winner with a Honda motorcycle in this class.
