Biography

Jeanne Marie Chevalier (born September 16, 1987) is a French film director, screenwriter, producer and editor.

Jeanne is a child of the road, she followed her parents on music tours, film sets, theatre stages, recording studios, equestrian shows etc... moving and traveling a lot from a very early age, picking up a great artistic fiber herself.

But, surprisingly, when she came of age, business school was her first choice, so in 2006 she moved to Marseille and joined Euromed, where she studied her bachelor degree in Management and Communication. Soon after, Jeanne was hired by the French TV channel Canal+, where she worked for over a year, slowly getting acquainted and falling in love with the industry. Wanting to know more about the creative and technical sides of filmmaking, Jeanne took a month course to train herself as a video reporter before leaving to India, where she self shot a number of institutional videos for NGOs working with non violence and Gandhi's techniques for a social change.

In 2011, back in France after this life changing experience, Jeanne flew across the channel and came to study at the London Film Academy, to take her skills to a more professional level. There she was trained on all filmmaking disciplines, working on numerous short films and learning the craft through an extremely practical year. During this time, Jeanne took the opportunity to be surrounded by skilled filmmakers, to write and direct her own projects.

4 years later, she has written and directed 5, very successful shorts, has now created her own production company "Zindabad Productions" and is developing a wide range of projects.
