Biography

Award winning director Blake Cortright grew up in upstate New York and has been making moving pictures for over 15 years. Inspired by the historical epics of the 1950s and 60s, Blake's directing style can be seen in his short films, documentaries, and award winning commercial campaigns. His passion for filmmaking began as a young child after watching "The Ten Commandments" (1956) and being captivated by the larger than life scale of that sweeping epic. Whether working on a low budget short film or a high budget commercial, Blake's enthusiasm and collaborative spirit energize his sets and excite the people he works with. When he's not making films or commercials, Blake enjoys all manner of outdoor recreation and reading good books.
