With cinematic and screenwriting studies at UCLA, Columbia University, and a Professional Certificate from Harvard University in Modern Masterpieces of World Literature, Victoria Orvañanos is a Mexican screenwriter with over fifteen years of experience in television drama.

Victoria is the Head Writer of the acclaimed television series Cada Minuto Cuenta (Every Minute Counts), alongside Alfredo Félix Díaz. This ten-part drama, produced by Amazon and MGM Studios, is inspired by the heroic stories of victims and survivors of the devastating 1985 Mexico City earthquake-a tragedy that reshaped the nation's history. The series premiered globally in 2024 and quickly reached the number one spot on Amazon Prime Video Mexico just hours after its launch. The second and final season is set to premiere in 2025. Cada Minuto Cuenta is created by Leonardo Zimbrón and produced by Mónica Vargas and Juan Manuel Borbolla of Traziende Films, with direction by Jorge Michel Grau.

Prior to her work in high-end drama, Victoria served for four years as a development executive at Alazraki Entertainment, before joining Time Warner Mexico City to support marketing efforts for key network titles, including CNN, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, and TNT. She went on to write several successful soap operas and drama series for Televisa Networks, many of which aired in prime time to strong reception across Latin America and Eastern Europe. Her credits include Dogma, En Tierras Salvajes, Las Amazonas, Nueva Vida, and Esperanza del Corazón. Collaborating with renowned producers such as Luis de Llano and Salvador Mejía, Victoria cemented her path as a head writer in international television.

In 2025, Victoria is actively developing multiple original series as Creator, Executive Producer, and Head Writer at Balssa Films. Her current slate includes biblical epics, historical dramas, and war series that reflect her passion for emotionally rich, globally resonant storytelling.
