- Nat Stuckey was born on December 17, 1933 in Atlanta, Cass County, Texas, USA. He was an actor, known for E.S.P. (1983), The Marty Stuart Show (2008) and The Porter Wagoner Show (1961). He died on August 24, 1988 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, USA.
- "Pop a Top" was a hit for Jim Ed Brown, nominated for two Grammies for the song in 1968.
- Stuckey, an Atlanta High School graduate, achieved fame and success singing and writing tunes like "Sweet Thang," "Pop a Top" and "Waitin' in Your Welfare Line.".
