Biography

Nikola Popovski is a film and tv director that has been involved in several projects on a different level. He gains credit as director for several short and feature length films, both documentary and fiction, and a TV series as well. His short film The last church bells won the first prize for best short film at the World film festival in Montreal - Canada. It had participated in more than 40 film festivals ever since and won 8 awards. His long awaited Tv series The red Poet had a wonderful reception from the audience. His last feature documentary The Code of Prespa had its premiere at the Documentary film festival Makedox 2025 in Skopje. At the moment he is in production of another feature documentary entitled as Gligorov while he is in development of his first feature fiction, entitled as Passengers.
