  • Caio Horowicz is an actor, playwright and theater student. As an actor, his first role came at age 16, in the series Família Imperial, directed by Cao Hamburguer, in 2012. The series premiered in Canal Futura in the same year, and later sold to the Disney Channel and TV Cultura. In the same year, he was cast in the medium length movie Vitrola, by Charly Braun, which aired on TV Cultura in 2013. He played the lead in Que Monstro te Mordeu, a series created by Cao Hamburguer, Philippe Barcinski and Teo Poppovic, which premiered on TV Cultura and is now available on Netflix. Between 2018 and 2019, he played the co-lead in the biographic series Hebe alongside Andrea Beltrão and Marco Ricca, under the direction of Mauricio Farias. Still in 2019, he was one of the leads in HBO's The Kissing Game, directed by Esmir Filho and Juliana Rojas. He is now part of the upcoming Prime Video Original series Lov3.

    In the big screen, his first role came at the age of 18, with Marina Person's California, for which he won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2015 Rio Film Festival. At 20, he starred as the lead in A Torre, alongside Enrique Diaz, directed by Sérgio Borges. At 21, he joined the Argentinian co-production effort Sueño Florianópolis, directed by Ana Katz. The following year, he starred in Música Para Morrer de Amor, directed by Rafael Gomes. In the same year, he starred in Hebe - A Estrela do Brasil, also with Andrea Beltrão and Marco Ricca, directed by Maurício Farias, besides Sem Pai nem Mãe, by André Klotzel (still unreleased). He also had roles in short films such as Love Snaps, by Rafael Lessa and Daniel Ribeiro, and Seja Bem Vindo, by Lucas Piloto.

    With a major in acting and a minor in Directing for Stage from the University of São Paulo's School of Communication and Arts (ECA-USP), he is continuing his studies in the same university, now at the School of Dramatic Arts (EDA). At the age of 7, he studied at Casa de Arte (a non-professional part of the Célia Helena School). He founded the Navib Theater Group, which he belonged to throughout High School. He also founded À Espreita Companhia, a theater group to which he still contributes with many research efforts. He is a professional clown performer as well, having researched the language between 2015 and 2019 under Cristiane Paoli Quito. He also studied dancing under Diogo Granato from 2016 to 2018.

    As a director, his research efforts are focused on the actor's performances He directed Cena Aberta - Três Irmãs, as well as the play A Última Gaivota, in 2018, under the guidance of Antônio Araújo, Cibele Forjaz and Lucienne Guedes. His last original play, Temporal (which was his first credit as a playwright), was halted due to the 2020 pandemic.
