  • Vikas Rawat was born and brought up in Bangalore, India. After having done plays in school, he pursued his Bachelor of Engineering in Information Science at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, during which he started doing amateur plays and eventually pursued professional theatre in Bangalore. After graduating in 2012, he moved to Mumbai and started working with Indian People's Theatre Association (IPTA Mumbai) and has since done several plays with them like Moteram, Ek Aur Dronacharya, Ek Mamuli Aadmi, Tajmahal Ka Tender, Aakhri Shama and several others. He has worked with directors like M S Sathyu, Ramesh Talwar, Raman Kumar and Rakesh Bedi. He has acted in several plays with leading film, TV and theatre personalities like Aanjjan Srivastav, Rakesh Bedi, Sulabha Arya, Avtar Gill, Tiku Talsania, Rajesh Puri, Aasif Sheikh, Akhilendra Mishra, Delnaaz Irani, Kishwer Merchant and Shweta Gulati.

    He has also been a part of India's Most Loved play 'Mera Woh Matlab Nahi Tha' starring Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta and Rakesh Bedi. He played the younger version of Anupam Kher's role, Preetam Chopra. It was written and directed by Rakesh Bedi and produced by Actor Prepares. The play is a runaway hit and has performed several shows all over the world - in USA, Canada, Singapore, Dubai, Kenya, Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait and other venues. He also composed the music for 'Mera Woh Matlab Nahi Tha'.

    Being a trained pianist, he has also been actively composing music. He's also been a part of the direction department in several national and international projects, including several ads, films, corporate films and short films.

    He has also acted in the lead role of an indie-feature film called 'Goatbait', made by the alumni of the Prague Film School.
