Biography

Eileen Marie Moore is responsible for all the music in the Joe & Nancy Mysteries short films. She teaches Voice at Cleveland State University and is the composer of 6 song cycles, 3 sacred cantatas, dozens of solo songs, piano music, many choral and orchestral arrangements, and roughly 100 children's operas. She directs two area Youth Orchestras and freelances as a soloist with area chamber ensembles and orchestras including the Akron Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Chamber Symphony among others. Ms. Moore is a graduate of Indiana University from which she received the Bachelor of Music degree in Voice with a concentration in Composition and the Master of Music in Voice with a minor in Early Music Performance Practice. She is also the editor of the Comparative Etymological Dictionary and Thesaurus of Tolkien's Languages and The Tolkien Dictionary errata. She performs the song cycles she composes frequently at universities around the country -- most recently at Rice University.
