Rico Franse is a distinguished Director of Photography, renowned for his work in the film industry. He gained significant recognition for his work as DOP in the Dutch film "Loverboy Emoties Uit," which won the Golden Film Award in 2024 and also became the most-viewed Dutch cinema film of that year.
Rico Franse has aspired to be a cameraman since he was four years old. After completing his education at a private film school focused on camera specialization and cinematography, he began his career in the television industry as an ENG cameraman. However, he soon shifted his focus to work as a Director of Photography (DOP), a path he had also studied for.
Rico primarily engages in narrative fiction, TV commercials, and documentaries. His dedication to the craft and passion for visual storytelling continue to drive his work, allowing him to create compelling imagery that supports the stories being told.
