Biography

Alain Maiki is the founding member of Epic In Motion, Corp. With over 15 years of experience as a film Director and Producer. For Alain, it was ultimately the decision to move to the United States that truly allowed him to develop his diverse passion for the film and music industry, which ultimately lead to his award-winning career as a Film Director/Producer.

To date, Alain Maiki has produced and directed numerous music videos, short films, documentaries and feature films to his credit. "Devuélveme La Vida", produced & directed by him, was released in 2016 in Venezuela and has received film festival's nominations and awards across the globe. Shown on Cable TV "STARZ ENCORE" & "SomosTV" & Amazon Latin America, his debut feature keeps playing throughout World, while Alain continues his passion to make more films with great stories. His most recent narrative feature film "UMA" is repeating the success, only this time, bigger and broader across the globe, with more than 14 awards to date and 20 nominations. The film was released in Venezuelan theaters in 2018 nationwide, among other countries.

Alain's interest in using film to help tell important stories and change the World is what inspired him to make several documentaries about critical and timely subjects. His Documentary "Hope" for instance, showed the importance of helping a community in need like the Puerto Rico during the tough times after hurricane Maria devastated the island. Similarly, another documentary he made called "Dreams Interrupted" shares the unfortunate situation of Syrians refugees in Lebanon. He collaborated on both the mission and the capturing of the moments to share it around the world and bring consciousness to society. Alain obtained 3 Nominations on the 2018 Suncoast EMMY for "Hope" and the documentary took 1 winning EMMY back home. In 2019, Epic In Motion and Alain Maiki received 3 EMMY awards including Best Director for the documentaries: Venezuela The Truth, Dreams Interrupted & For The Children By the Children.

Alain is in pre-production on new feature films and documentaries for 2019-2022.
