- Born in Vienna, Austria, Christian Machacek is a director, screenwriter, and producer known for cinematic documentary storytelling focused on nature, culture, and the human connection to the environment. After graduating in Los Angeles in 1994, he returned to Austria and worked in various production roles across commercial, television, and film projects.
Since 2017, he has focused on directing and writing original documentary productions, including the feature documentary "DreamScapes", narrated by Kate Winslet. His work combines atmospheric visuals with emotionally driven storytelling and immersive sound design.
He is currently finishing a documentary exploring indigenous knowledge and coexistence with nature, as well as a cinematic series about the historical origins of some of the world’s most beloved dishes.
