Biography

Monique Hurteau MBA, is an executive producer, business affairs consultant and lapsed stand-up comedian. She holds an MBA with a specialization in Management Consulting and has experience across multiple industries including advising lawyers on deals ranging from $75M to $3B.

She's an alumna of Women in the Director's Chair (WIDC), Top 25 Netflix-Banff DOV Pitch Program (2019), was selected for the inaugural cohort of the Banff Spark Accelerator at the Banff World Media Festival and the and an invited member of the 2021/22 World Trade Centre Vancouver Advisory Committee.

Monique's also experienced on stage and screen too. She's performed stand-up comedy across Canada, appeared on CTV and as a writer for the iconic Canadian comedy series, CBC's The Debaters. She's written for big budget, black tie fundraising galas, entrepreneur symposiums and the nationally-televised opening events for one of Canada's national museums.

Monique also wrote, produced + co-directed, the documentary Chasing Lear (2016) with her Exec Producer partner Lorne Cardinal known for FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Corner Gas (2004), Corner Gas Animated (2018) and Peabody award-winning Molly of Denali (2019).
