- Chandrika Ravi is an internationally recognized actress, writer and producer whose work spans film and television industries around the world.
Born in Melbourne, Australia and based in Los Angeles, Chandrika has worked across five languages; English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Punjabi, building a career that bridges cultures and audiences.
Chandrika made her feature film debut in the 2018 blockbuster Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuthu, launching a career that quickly expanded. She went on to star in the blockbuster Veera Simha Reddy, which entered the prestigious 100 Crore Club during its opening weekend and achieved an extraordinary 365-day theatrical run. Across film and music, projects featuring Chandrika have generated more than 300 million YouTube views, cementing the reach of her work.
Chandrika starred in the New York-set independent feature The Chili Score, which received recognition on the international festival circuit, including official selections at Hollywood Shorts Fest, the Sundance Institute, and the Ethos Film Awards. With several projects currently in production, she continues to work across studio and independent projects around the world.
She is attached to co-create and star in Silk Smitha: Queen of the South, the official biopic of legendary screen icon Silk Smitha. The project marks another step in her work as both an actor and producer.
In December 2024, Chandrika returned to her alma mater, The New York Film Academy to deliver the commencement address and was awarded an Honorary Master of Fine Arts in Acting for Film, first Australian actor and the first actress of Indian heritage to receive the distinction in the United States.
She recently received the prestigious ‘Mouldbreaker of the Year Award’ at the Universal India Awards, recognizing her contributions in entertainment globally.
