Jimmica Collins is an actor, performer, and voiceover artist. She graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A in Theatre. At NYU, she studied at the Experimental Theater Wing and with Stonestreet Studios for Television.
Jimmica trained as a puppeteer with Sesame Workshop, The Jim Henson Company, and at The Center for Puppetry Arts. She is a puppeteer on the PBS KIDS preschool series, Donkey Hodie playing Rockstar Penguin, Frannie Fox, Weatherbird, and more. She is also a Muppet performer on Sesame Street playing Grandma Nell and other friendly monsters! Jimmica has performed as a puppeteer and actor in many TYA productions over the years including Stellaluna, Harold and the Purple Crayon, Space! The Musical, Aesop’s Fables, Peter & Friends, Fancy Nancy the Musical, Lyle the Crocodile, and more.
Jimmica is a 2019 Princess Grace Honorarium Award Recipient for Puppetry Arts, and a 2018 Suzi Bass Award Winner for The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane at Synchronicity Theatre.
