TRU-FX, was created in 2010 by Tatianna Francesconi and is a full service prosthetics and Make-up FX company for the theater and motion picture industry.
Tatianna Francesconi, a Texas resident since 1985, has succeeded through a career as a creator of creature costumes, canvas paintings, murals, backdrops, and special make-ups.
TRU-FX started in her hometown of Plano, Texas and has created numerous effects and creatures for the Dallas / Ft. Worth market. TRU-FX has teamed with Actual Illusions Entertainment, Fifth Floor Pictures, LLC., Blue Star LLC., PFL Music LLC., Fred Hammond & JD Lawrence, and Dallas' Kendrick D. Young. Collaborations produced success projects like "Deceptions of Love", "Straight & Narrow", and award winning short film "Her Eyez". Theatre & web series make-up highlights include star studded productions like "I Forgive you Easter Production", "Racial Conscience", "Cain & Able", "Love Don't Pay the Bills", "I'm Still Yo Mama", "I Deserve your Husband", "Just Like Yo Daddy", & "Can't Marry who you Love Marry who you with" in addition countless private projects.
Prior to her career in practical special effects, Tatianna was face painter for Kellogg's and Blue Star LLC. traveling to cities across the county transforming the faces of the youth. It was through this fascination for transforming the outward appearance of people that she became fascinated with the make-up arts. It was during her time at Blue Star that Tatianna expanded into full body painting and airbrushing- leading up to silicone prosthetic applications of friends then films. The need to reproduce complicated lifecasts in plaster and other materials led Tatianna to dig deeper into the world of silicon mold making. Tatianna will be forever indebted to his former employer, Victor Hakim, for giving her that gentle nudge in the effects direction.
Tatianna Francesconi has also taught special effects make-up techniques under the training of Master mold maker Mitch Roger of Brick in the Yard Mold Supply in Richardson, Texas. Make-up FX and creature creations seminars within the TRU-FX walls are continually open to young and passionate students.
