Anna Lönn Franko

Anna Lönn Franko is a Swedish freelance filmmaker & visual artist. She lives and works in Malmö and has made a number of short films, art films, music videos, and a full feature. Furthermore she works as an educator for children and youths in film making, stop motion animation and art. A recurring theme in all her works is woman's place in Society. Her films often have a humorous and feminist touch. "Miss Dipso" is Annas personal cartoon project that she has worked with for a couple of years publishing on Instagram and Facebook. For many years she has been working with her visual artist colleague Lisa Fjellman. They have formed LiAn Artist Duo, making art in different media such as film, audio installations, text based art and performance in the duo. During the last three years they created an art film festival in Malmö called LiAn film festival. "In Between/Mellanrumsfruar " is their first feature length film, which they produced, wrote, directed and edited together on a very low budget. The film was premiering at Franklin International Independent Film Festival and has been screened in both national and international festivals since (2019). Anna and Lisa are both members in the artist driven gallery Rostrum in Malmö and have exhibited various kinds of art works in Malmö, Stockholm, Oslo, and LA and they are also board members of WIFT Sweden (Women in Film and Television).
