Biography

Studied film at NYU and is a member of the DGA.

Was classmates with Aaron Sorkin and Vanessa Williams at Syracuse University.

Grew up in Philadelphia and attended Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts.

Made his New York stage debut in Sam Shepard's "The Tooth of Crime" at Ellen Stewart's LaMama ETC Theatre.

Benmio meaning "My son," is a Hebrew-Spanish name his Jewish mother invented for him. "Ben" in Hebrew means "son" and "mio" in Spanish means "my".
