Keya Hamilton

Actor, writer and director Keya Hamilton grew up in a home where music and creative expression were at its center. She is best known for her roles the movies Roofman and Hallmark’s Christmas in Harmony. Keya began her adult acting career in theater, touring the US, performing in stage plays and transitioning into film in 2012. After working for and being inspired by Kelly Fremon Craig and James L. Brooks on the feature film, Are You There God, It's Me Margaret, she decided to take the plunge into directing. In 2023, she got her feet wet by directing the documentary short Creating Sentenced to Pray. Keya has now completed the proof of concept film The Conversation that she produced, wrote, directed and starred. Keya is the creator and owner of Key Casting and Productions, LLC, the provider of casting, consulting, screenwriting, producing and directing services. She is also on the Board of Directors and instructor/acting coach for the non-profit organization, The Creative Cornerstone.
