David Pombo is a Colombian director, graduated from Eliseo Subiela's Professional Film School in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2022 he released his documentary Fearless Juan, winner of Best Documentary Film Award at Los Angeles Super shorts Film Festival in 2023, and Best Cinematography Award at the Toronto Documentary Feature and Short Film Festival in 2022 . During the last years he has directed various 2nd Units in important latin TV shows such as: Secuestro al Vuelo 601 (Netflix 2024), Goles En Contra (Netflix 2022), Malayerba (Lionsgate 2021) and El Robo del Siglo (Netflix 2020). David Pombo has also worked for more than ten years as an Assistant Director on important international TV shows and films such as: Narcos, Sound of Freedom, American Made and The Lost City of Z.
