She is known for her lead in The Art of Passion, April in the Chandler International Film Festival Best Drama Short Winner Puncher's Chance, and The lead in Della. Katie is an advocate for Alopecia. In April 2023, Katie shared her story about being bald and hiding it almost her whole life. She now embraces her Alopecia and story and hopes to inspire and change beauty standards in the industry.

She has Alopecia Universalis, an autoimmune condition that causes complete loss of all hair on the head and body.
