Biography

Kayla Rodriguez was born of a Dominican Father and Mother in the the Town of Paterson, NJ in 1989, at the age of 7 she moved with her mother and younger brother to the Dominican Republic and returned to America at the age of 10 to live once again in New Jersey. At the age of 11 she moved with her Mother and Brother to Tampa, Florida where she would complete her Middle school and High school education, at the age of 16 she started her career in Modeling and was a professional Afro-ballet dancer for a Dance Company called "Tradiciones". In 2009 Kayla was chosen out of thousands of aspiring girls to be one of the lucky finalist who would fly to Miami to compete for the title of "Nuestra Belleza Latina 2009" Univisions hit talent contest and reality series. In 2010 she was chosen to work for "Telemundo Tampa" in Hola Tampa Bay and was chosen as one of the "ESPN Deportes girls" for the 2010-2011 Calendar, this was a major hit. In 2010 Kayla moved to New York city to continue her Modeling and Acting career and in 2012 landed her first feature film by Sapha Productions set to release in 2014.She Is currently working on more mayor projects and is set to start Production for the Movie "SENTIENCE" as the character Mixso and Recently got nominated for "Best New Actress" in the Latin American "Mortalez Awards" she is also a series regular in the successful Latin America Soap Opera Mortales La Serie in Telemicro International and is the producer of her own Web Show "Leloca App TV" as well as the host for the ILBTV Hispanic TV show "Valorez de la Familia Hispana".
