Biography

Bilingual actor and filmmaker Suparna Thies brings a deeply rooted, global perspective to her work on screen. Raised in a culturally vibrant region of Northeast Thailand, she discovered her love for the dramatic arts early through school theater, mastering both on-stage performance and directorial execution. Her foundational training in dressmaking and fashion design in Bangkok gifted her with a meticulous eye for detail, character wardrobe, and visual storytelling skills that she brought with her to the United States.

Suparna’s professional acting career includes an impressive array of national and regional credits, notably featuring performances in FBI: Most Wanted, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, Wicked City, Snap, and the independent feature Parallel Parking, as well as the films Care and Righteous.

Driven by a passion for the holistic filmmaking process, she frequently lends her talents to behind-the-scenes production, including set dressing, screenwriting, and producing. Her debut as a writer-producer came with the 2016 film Toy for Tone.
