Biography

Icy is an established costume professional whose work spans film, television, and commercial productions. With more than 14 years of industry experience, she has contributed her creative vision and collaborative approach to acclaimed projects including P-Valley, The Color Purple, and They Cloned Tyrone.

After years of building an impressive résumé across the costume department, Icy fulfilled a longtime goal when she made her debut as Costume Designer for the Amazon Studios feature Emergency, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. She later served as Assistant Costume Designer for The Color Purple, whose costume design team earned the 2024 NAACP Image Awards honor for Best Costume Design.

Continuing her momentum in 2024, Icy served as Costume Designer for A Mess of Memories and Assistant Costume Designer for the upcoming season 3 of P-Valley. In 2025, she designed the holiday feature All Is Merry & Bright. Most recently Icy continued her work as Costume Designer for NBC’s 2026 pilot, Puzzled.

Known for embracing a director’s vision while fostering strong cross-department collaboration, Icy approaches each project with a deep commitment to narrative, character development, and visual authenticity. Her ability to translate story into compelling costume language has become a defining hallmark of her work. Icy is an active member of esteemed organizations including: a voting member of the Emmy’s (Television Academy), Black Women Film Network, Women in Media, Women in Film & Television Atlanta, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

When she’s not immersed in the world of costume design, Icy enjoys spending time in her hometown of Atlanta with her husband Chris, their spirited daughter Savvy, and their beloved pug, Poe.
