Nang K'uulas Patrick Shannon is a multi-award-winning Haida filmmaker from Skidegate, Haida Gwaii. Known for Saints and Warriors (2025), Stuff the British Stole (2022), and A Golden Voice (2020), he fuses bold cinematic vision with deep cultural insight. His debut feature, Saints and Warriors, won three Leo Awards including Best Direction, earned the Grand Jury Prize for Best Canadian Documentary at the Calgary International Film Festival, and was presented the Colin Low Award for Best Canadian Director by the Director's Guild of Canada.
Raised among Haida elders and storytellers, Patrick spent a decade in Vancouver's film industry before founding InnoNative, creating acclaimed films across documentary and scripted narratives. Through mentorship and collaboration, he empowers Indigenous communities to tell their own stories and helps redefine how Canada sees itself through film.
