Stefania Orion, born on July 20th, 1988, in Ljubljana, is a Slovenian actress. She grew up in the small town of Skofja Loka in a large working-class family with two brothers and one sister. During the time of the former Yugoslavia, her parents emigrated to Slovenia from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which made Stefania fluent in both Slovenian and Serbo-Croatian, and later, English.
As a child, Stefania was a passionate and successful gymnast, and most of her childhood was defined by hard work and discipline. From an early age, she was in the limelight, hosting school events, attending acting classes, and always loving to perform. However, she was also obstinate, stubborn, and often hard to understand. At school, she was exemplary, independent, and creative.
After graduating from high school, at the age of 20, Stefania decided to move to New York to pursue an acting career. In 2009, she began studying acting at the New York Film Academy, but her studies were short-lived due to financial difficulties, as her parents were unable to support her. As a result, she returned home. In desperation, she enrolled in journalism studies in Ljubljana and successfully graduated after four years. During her studies, she worked as a TV journalist and, immediately upon graduation, began hosting a TV show called Future Bride (Bodoca nevesta), for which she wrote the screenplay and produced.
Throughout this time, Stefania's modeling career was ongoing. She began modeling at 18 and participated in numerous fashion shows worldwide. Stefania describes modeling as never being a priority because she didn't like how she was treated as a model. However, despite her ambivalence, she enjoyed a successful career and was regarded as a high-profile model both in her home country and in Milan, Italy, where she had the opportunity to work with major fashion houses like Missoni, Versace, Cavalli, Harry Winston, Mila Schön, Emilio Pucci, Giorgio Grati, Alberto Dominguez, and Ermanno Scervino. Her path even took her to Shanghai, China, where she lived and worked as a model for a brief period.
In early 2017, Stefania moved to London to give herself another chance at pursuing her dreams and started a new life. She has appeared as an actress in several short films and commercials, experiencing the world of independent cinema. She also wrote the screenplay for a feature film called Anastasia: The Chosen One.
Since Stefania has always been fascinated by the stars and the universe, she adopted the surname Orion (born Bojic), which symbolically expresses her feeling of not belonging to any particular place or person. She is curious and creative, loves traveling, and enjoys learning about new things, particularly in the fields of art, astronomy/cosmology, anthropology, Hinduism, and spirituality. She also enjoys dancing, horse riding, and hiking.
