Biography

Kapil Talwalkar is an Indian-American actor and musician whose work spans television, film, theater, and voiceover. Raised in the Bay Area, he studied acting at the USC School of Dramatic Arts and made his professional stage debut in East West Players’ production of Rajiv Joseph’s Animals Out of Paper.

Talwalkar is best known for playing Tobin Batra in NBC’s musical dramedy Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, a role he reprised in Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas. He went on to star as Neil Valluri in NBC’s revival of Night Court and appeared in a recurring role on The CW’s Charmed. His additional credits include voice work on Nickelodeon’s The Loud House, the independent feature Americanish, Hallmark’s My Dreams of You, and the lead role of Shalin Shah in the feature film Paper Flowers.

On stage, Talwalkar appeared as Fabian in The Public Theater’s Free Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night, directed by Saheem Ali. He can also be seen as Naveen in Peacock’s The ’Burbs.
