XTC

XTC was an English rock band, formed in Swindon in 1972 and eventually disbanded in 2006. They achieved only sporadic commercial success in the UK and US, but attracted a considerable cult following. They had a total of 12 albums and 6 singles that reached the UK top 40. XTC also released 2 EP's of 60's inspired psychedelic rock under the alias "Dukes of Stratosphear". XTC have since been recognized for their influence on Britpop and later power pop acts.
