Biography

Rashia Whitlock was born and raised in Indianapolis Indiana. She became interested in acting early in her childhood and was a part of the Asante Children's' Theater at the young age of 15. Ms. Whitlock is 2007 graduate of Pike High School. While at Pike, she developed her acting skills under Mr. Monte Tapplar and performed at the notable Pike Performing Arts center in Indianapolis. Since graduating from Pike, she went on to graduate from Texas Southern University to with a degree in Communications and Theater. Since starting her acting career, Ms. Whitlock has had numerous roles and amazing opportunities in the industry. She recently wrapped up filming for a movie called "Project Almanac", starring Jonny Weston and Amy Landecker hitting theaters February 2015. Rashia held a role in the award-winning movie Django by Quentin Tarintino and more recently filmed for a role in Pitch Perfect 2 and "Bolden". She has been featured on television shows like HBO's Treme' and ABC's Starcrossed. Rashia is a versatile actress who loves pushing her own personal boundaries when it comes to the roles she takes on. "Be the actor everyone wants to work with and be the actor that everyone knows will step out of the box", says Ms. Whitlock. Rashia loves fashion and art. She is a very family oriented person and credits her faith in God as the main factor in her success. Rashia feels success is only accomplished by a confident and determined work ethic.
