Biography

Sonia Rodriguez is known for Romeos & Juliets (2012) and De corazón (2026). She is married to Kurt Browning. They have two children.

In 2022, she announced her retirement from the National Ballet of Canada after more than two decades as the company's principal dancer.

She was born in Toronto, and moved to Spain with her family when she was five. She studied ballet in Madrid and at the Princess Grace Academy in Monaco. She returned to Canada in 1989 and joined the National Ballet.
