- He is a Certified Precision Driver (Super Level 1), as instructed by Rick Seaman & Co. at the Motion Picture Driving and Safety Clinic in Rosamond, CA. Although still an amateur, he's particularly proficient in front-wheel drive drifts.
- At the age of 7, Daniel moved from his native West Virginia to live in a two-century-old farmhouse in North Yorkshire, UK. Within three years, he had already traveled to a dozen different countries.
- In his final year at the University of North Texas, Daniel was chosen as one of eight directors (out of forty eligible candidates) to oversee a major senior project. At that time, his pitch held the record for the most visual-effects heavy, highest budget short to come out of the Advanced Film program. That project went on to be nominated for several awards at genre film festivals, and Daniel graduated near top of his class.
