Reginald Lopez Garner is an actor whose work spans film, television, theater, and digital media. You may recognize him from the independent film feature The Shop (2014), the Bay Area television series The Dirty (2013), and as Deacon Bernard Howard in Commodore Independent Filmworks’ Mercy Road (2023). You will also see him explode onscreen as character Chief Davis in Dexter Brains’ film Night Haul: Baltimore Siege (2025). Born and raised in Philadelphia, he found the arts early while attending parochial school. A nun recognized his raw ability and cast him as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar. That performance sparked a lifelong commitment to acting. During his school years, he balanced theater with basketball and track. In college, he appeared in multiple stage productions, including The Rose Tattoo and Ten Little Indians. While attending Texas A&M University, he chose to serve and enlisted in the United States Navy. In 2009, he returned to acting and auditioned for the independent film Ghetto Magnolia. He landed the lead role of Jonathan Donaldson. The project later expanded into a stage production, where he took on the darker role of Caine in 2012. A successful run at the Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts in Oakland, California brought wider attention. Since then, his work has included feature films, scripted television, reenactment series, web projects, music videos, and federal training productions.
