Jevon Frank is an Emmy nominated film and television producer whose work spans documentary, long form journalism, and social impact storytelling. A proud member of the Producers Guild of America, he has built a career around bringing overlooked and underrepresented stories to the world's most prominent platforms from HBO and the Smithsonian Channel to Hulu and beyond.
After studying at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Journalism, Jevon began his career producing content for clients including CBS Television, Johnson Publications' Ebony and Jet Magazines, Universal Music, and Atlantic Records. His early work in branded and editorial production gave him a foundation in the full scope of visual storytelling before he turned his focus to documentary film.
His feature documentary work quickly established him as a producer with a distinct voice and a commitment to cultural and historical urgency. His HBO documentary Yusuf Hawkins: Storm Over Brooklyn examined the devastating aftermath of the 1989 racially motivated murder of a 16-year-old in New York City. His Smithsonian Channel documentary Cassius X: Becoming Ali offered an intimate portrait of a young Cassius Clay tracing the transformation that made him Muhammad Ali. Earlier, Life's Essentials with Ruby Dee exploring the lives, love, and activism of Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee was acquired for broadcast by Viacom/BET.
In 2024, Jevon produced MoviePass, MovieCrash for HBO an Emmy nominated feature documentary that untangles the rise and fall of the MoviePass subscription service. Most recently, he served as producer on Eyes on the Prize III: We Who Believe in Freedom Cannot Rest for HBO, continuing the legacy of one of the most important documentary series in American history. Across every project, Jevon brings the same conviction that film has the power to shift how people see themselves, each other, and the world they share.
