Phoebe Ray, born Phoebe Ray McHenry was born October 22 in Houston, Tx. Her mother Sue McHenry is retired after having worked as a Scheduling Coordinator and Human Resources and Benefits Specialist and her father Gle-en McHenry is a Sales Trainer and Motivational Speaker in the automobile industry. Phoebe is of African American and Irish decent. Raised right outside Chicago, in Schaumburg, IL, moving shortly after her 4th birthday, Phoebe spent her childhood active in theatre, dance, ice skating, swimming and cheer. She graduated from Hoffman Estates High School, still very active in competitive cheerleading and musical theatre.
After graduation, Phoebe attended Eastern Illinois University and Columbia College Chicago, where she earned her undergraduate degree with honors in Theater Arts. Shortly after she moved to Los Angeles were she obtained her Masters degree in Film Studies and then moved back to Houston to continue her professional career. It was in Houston that she started working in commercials and picking up more roles in independent films. She resides in Los Angeles, CA.
