Rosario Pineda

Rosario Pineda was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from the prestigious Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas (ASAB) in Bogotá, where she completed a five-year program in performing arts. During her early career, she was a member of several renowned theater groups, including Mama Theater, La Carrera Theater, and the Tecal Group. With these companies, Rosario performed in major international festivals such as the Ibero-American Theater Festival of Bogotá, the Open-Air Theater Festival in South Korea, the International Hispanic Theater Festival in Miami, USA, and the Theatrical May Pilgrimages - May Theatrical in Cuba.
She further expanded her training in Cuba at the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA) and the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC). In 1998, Rosario began working in television and went on to appear in multiple Colombian TV productions before relocating to New York to study English and continue her acting career.
In New York, she became actively involved in the Latin theater community and, in 2012, received an ACE Award nomination (Association of Latin Entertainment Critics of New York) for Best Comedy Actress. She also appeared in the feature film Finalmente, portraying the character of Carlota.
After taking a ten-year hiatus to focus on motherhood and family, Rosario has returned to the acting world with renewed passion. She is currently training at HB Studio, sharpening her craft and preparing for the next chapter of her artistic journey.
