Biography

Andrew Matney was born in Bradenton, Florida. He, along with his older sister and younger brother, grew up in El Paso, Texas as both his parents took jobs there. Andrew began acting at a young age, performing in theater during elementary and middle school, but stepped back to get more involved in band during high school where he played the tenor saxophone for the jazz and honor bands.

After high school, he went on to complete an Associates in Automotive as he was pursuing a career in precision driving. Realizing that this was only a hobby, he continued his education at UT El Paso where he received his BBA in Finance. Shortly after his undergraduate studies, Andrew decided to pursue acting once again through television and film where he had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. A few years later, he went back to school where he received his MBA from Indiana University.

With graduate school out of the way, Andrew decided to more actively pursue acting where he is enrolled in acting classes with various coaches to improve his performance through character development and script analysis while seeking roles that will push his abilities and help him to grow both personally and professionally.
