It's so easy today to stay inside our own bubbles, surround ourselves with like-minded people, reinforce ideas and beliefs we already have. We see it all the time with buying things - you like this; you might also like this. But the other side of that convenience is a polarizing effect; the walls grow thicker on our bubbles and it becomes harder and harder to have a clear view outside of what we know. I think especially now with increasing technology presence in our lives, it's important to put energy into more face-to-face interactions, more intentional effort into getting outside of what we know and already love. Traveling, shaking up our routines, meeting new people, listening to someone who believes differently than you and really trying to understand them, making time to bridge connections or see things from different sides.... it's all so important.
