Artist Alexander David Scarfe was born on December 1981 in London to actress Jane Asher and cartoonist Gerald Scarfe. He has an older sister, actress Katie Scarfe, and a younger brother, Rory Christopher Scarfe.
Alexander Scarfe graduated from the Royal Academy Schools in 2008. His work has been exhibited in various exhibitions, like "TAG, From 3 to 36: New London Painting" at Brown in London in 2010, "A Union of Voices" at Horatio Jr in London in 2014, and the "Sean Steadman: The Sleeping Procession" at Mayfair, London, UK from fall 2017 to early 2018.
He is the nephew of Peter Asher of the Peter and Gordon duo fame, and radio actress Clare Asher. Victoria Asher, keytarist of Cobra Starship is her cousin. He is the grandson of Margaret Asher.
