"Speechless" is a challenging film. It will give courage to those who watch it, and dare them to end the silence that allows rape and victimization to go on behind closed doors. I can understand how tough and how embarrassing, how just difficult it could be [for a victim] to actually stand up for himself when it seems like nobody cares, because nobody really knows.

Our fellow casting directors of yesterday and today, never really receive the credit that they truly deserve. Hopefully the casting directors of tomorrow won't have such an unappreciative crowd.

It's funny because when you're a teenager, the last people you ever want to kick it with are your parents. Now that I'm older, that's all who I want to be around, my parents, uncles and aunties or even my friend's parents. Luckily, I was with my mom at the time when I started getting texts, snaps and notifications that Chadwick Boseman transcended. I always try to front on my mom, like no matter what's going on, everything's always super-dooper cool but while she was talking to me about her plans while I was visiting her, she saw I was devastated and deflated. She asked what was wrong and I couldn't even cap to her. I told her what happened and she immediately asked me if Chadwick knew the Lord? And before I could even say anything, we both felt the answer & I immediately felt better than how I emotionally felt before. She told me 'Ndo' while she gave me a hug and told me how much better I should feel to know that he knows the Lord. But yeah, parents are dope as fuck nowadays.
