She is a cartoonist who launched her comic strip "Hark! A Vagrant" in 2007, while working at the Maritime Museum of British Columbia. The strip makes references to figures of history and classic literature, such as Shelley, Byron, French revolutionary Georges Danton, Pushkin, Hadrian, and Alexander Graham Bell.
