Sofia Nova is a published, fantasy fiction author. Sofia's writing career flourished with the release of her middle-grade, fiction, fantasy novel, "The Secret of Moon Lake," in 2020, followed by her 2024 release, "Maradonia and the Guardians of the Portal," the first book of a trilogy. She has also worked in the field of directing, singing/songwriting, modeling, and acting. Born in San Diego, California, Sofia is a first-generation American with Russian and German roots. In 2002, her family relocated to Miami, Florida. Sofia began her acting journey at a young age, performing in various theatrical productions in both California and Miami. In 2009, she developed an interest in cinematography, creating YouTube videos with friends. This passion led her to produce and act in several short films and create music videos. Sofia's love for writing began at a young age, fueled by a deep fascination with the power of words and their ability to shape narratives that captivate and inspire. Driven by her passion for creating stories, Sofia pursued a degree in communications at St. Petersburg College. When she isn't working, Sofia enjoys traveling, swimming in the ocean, creating art, music, and acts of philanthropy. Rooted in spirituality, Sofia radiates positivity and believes in finding the silver lining in all circumstances. She enjoys sharing her knowledge, positive nature, and motivation to others, and hopes her novels inspire readers to follow their dreams too.
