Ashley Bua was born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She is a producer, writer, and director best known for the films The Other Place (2017), 5 Stages (2014) and Fanboy (2019). As well as the documentary short Behind the Scenes (2012), which gave an in depth look at the lives of teenagers who have been diagnosed with autism. In 2016, she co-founded the Los Angeles based production company Synescope Studios.
