Biography

Ali Tahir was born on June 22, 1972 in Lahore, Pakistan. He is a Pakistani film, television and theatre actor, producer and director. He started his career in 1995 with a television series "Ranjish", and has ever since considered an intense and versatile actor. He has met success, praise and popularity in almost genres, and across various formats.

In 2008, Ali ventured into production and direction. His directorial work in Taj Classics, Samjhota Express, Rang and Mohini Mansion Ki Cinderellayain has been critically acclaimed, and established him as a director who narrates his stories with a cinematic feel.

Ali belongs to a family of legendary Pakistani artists including Syed Imtiaz Ali Taj (Actor, Director and Dramatist), Hijab Imtiaz Ali (Novelist), Naeem Tahir (Actor, Director, Producer), Yasmin Tahir (Broadcaster, Actor) and the Pakistani American Actor and Producer Faran Tahir.
