- Leo Suter stars as the titular lead in LYNLEY - BBC One's new adaptation of Elizabeth George's bestselling Inspector Lynley novels, which have sold over forty million copies worldwide. Penned by Steve Thompson (Sherlock) and produced by Playground Entertainment (Wolf Hall), Leo plays DI Thomas Lynley, a brilliant detective and outsider in the force. The four-episode series marks a long-awaited return to British TV for Lynley, 17 years after the final episode of the original BBC series.
Leo is best known thus far for his lead role of Harald Sigurdsson (better known as Harald Hardrada) - the charismatic and ambitious and Nordic prince in Netflix's global success VIKINGS: VALHALLA. He recently joined the lead cast of Anna Biller's ghost story THE FACE OF HORROR, set in 14th-century England, can currently be seen in Robin Wright's directorial debut for Prime Video, THE GIRLFRIEND. His further credits include SANDITON (BBC), WIDOW CLICQUOT with Hayley Bennett and starred as a guest lead in INTELLIGENCE opposite David Schwimmer and Nick Mohammed for Sky.
His breakout roles were in the cult psychological thriller CLIQUE, for the BBC as well as his beloved portrayal of Sir Edward Drummond in ITV and Masterpiece PBS's VICTORIA for which he won a Radio Times Reader's Breakout Talent Award.

- Just like his Lynley character, Leo is an Oxford University graduate. The actor read Human Sciences at New College, Oxford.
