Kevin Shand, 6'10½", was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He attended and played basketball at Humber College in 1996 before moving on to Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he competed in NCAA Division I and earned a BA in Communications in 1999. A former member of the Canadian Men's National Basketball Team, he went on to play professional basketball for 13 seasons around the world, including stops in China, France, and Bahrain. His tall, fit stature and athletic background have allowed for a natural transition into commercial, film, and television.
Beyond his playing/acting career, Kevin has continued to give back to the game through leadership and player development. As a basketball director, trainer, and mentor, he continues to help young athletes build confidence, discipline, and life skills through the game.
