Martyanov began acting in 2006. He gained widespread recognition after playing Senior Lieutenant Aleksandr Krotkiy in the mystical film Spasite nashi dushi (2008). His role as rescuer Iskander Zaripov in the social drama ChS [Chrezvychaynaya situatsiya] (2012) became notable.
